Strawberry Days 2026 is officially in the books! What an incredible week filled with service, creativity, community connection, and, of course, strawberries and cream. We hope you enjoyed the festivities as much as we did—and have had a chance to catch your breath!
Our PG Cares coalition was grateful for the opportunity to connect with so many individuals and families throughout the week. Thank you to everyone who stopped by our events, participated in activities, or volunteered to make this year’s celebration a success.
T-Shirt Design Contest
Our 2nd Annual Strawberry Days T-Shirt Design Contest received 52 creative entries, and we were blown away by the talent in our community.
Congratulations to McKenna Rodriguez, whose winning design was printed on this year’s commemorative T-shirt! It was so much fun seeing people wearing the shirt throughout Strawberry Days. We nearly sold out on the first day!

Family Safety Fair
Tuesday morning, we joined our community partners at the annual Family Safety Fair, where more than 200 people visited the PG Cares booth to play games, win prizes, and learn about upcoming programs and resources.
We enjoyed spending the morning alongside the Pleasant Grove Police Department, Fire Department, and many othe
r organizations dedicated to strengthening our community. Thank you to everyone who helped make this event possible.
Community Readiness Survey
During the fair, we also launched our Community Readiness Survey. Participants received games and books as a thank-you for sharing their feedback.
We’re still collecting responses and hope to hear from 150 adults and 150 youth (grades 6–12, including recent graduates). If you haven’t participated yet, we’d love to hear from you!

The survey is anonymous. Participants may also choose to enter a separate prize drawing after completing the survey.
Chalk the Lot

Our annual Chalk the Lot event featured 49 incredible works of art, making it one of the highlights of Strawberry Days.
Thank you to our judges—members of the Pleasant Grove City Council, PG Youth Council, PG Cares Coalition Board, and local artist Megan Rieker—for the difficult task of selecting this year’s winners.

Berry Special Festival
On Thursday, we participated in the Berry Special Festival, celebrating community members with physical and intellectual disabilities. Our prize dig was a huge hit, and we enjoyed connecting with families while learning more about the incredible organizations that serve this population.
Grand Parade
We wrapped up Strawberry Days by participating in the Grand Parade.
A special thank-you to the Khountham family for allowing us to use their bus, and to our coalition members who handed out candy and bubbles along the parade route.
We were also honored to partner with Torri Merrill and her Zero Fatalities project. Together, we distributed hundreds of phone pouches to encourage distraction-free driving and help keep our roads safe.
Thank You, Pleasant Grove!
Events like Strawberry Days are only possible because of the dedication of countless volunteers, city staff, community organizations, and sponsors.
Thank you to the members of the PG Cares Coalition, who donated more than 100 volunteer hours throughout the week. We also extend our gratitude to the Strawberry Days Committee, Pleasant Grove Recreation Department, Pleasant Grove City employees, City Council, Youth Council, community partners, and every volunteer who helped make this year’s celebration such a memorable success.
We are grateful to be part of a community that continues to come together to serve, celebrate, and strengthen one another. We can’t wait to see you next year!
