Prevention takes a village.
PG Cares is an evidence-based prevention coalition working to strengthen families, build community resilience, and reduce the risk of addiction, abuse, and suicide.
We work to foster well-being for individuals, families, schools, and businesses in our community. We offer classes, community events, and information on local resources in order to create a safe and connected community.
Our Mission
We are dedicated to raising awareness, removing stigmas, and facilitating education and resources around the tough issues we face in our families and as a community.
Partners & Resources
We research and partner with as many organizations as possible to educate and bring safe and trusted resources to our community.
Discover MoreConnection is the best Prevention. Communities, schools, families, and individuals all play an important role in creating connectedness and safety.
We work to decrease the risk factors and increase protective factors of addiction, abuse, and suicide by collecting Pleasant Grove data and implementing our outcome-focused plans through education, outreach, and evidence-based initiatives. ”Positive Action Club has been such a fun class to teach. I have seen students learn to feel safe in their own lives. I have seen students dealing with hard home lives find some peace as we teach them techniques to understand things that are in their control and things that aren't. It has been such a good reminder to myself as well to remember that my thoughts equal my actions equal how I feel about myself. I'm more at peace with myself and the world around me.
