Leah McMurtery was nominated and chosen as the PG Cares Youth of the Month. Leah is in 10th grade at Pleasant Grove High School.
Here’s what Leah was nominated for:
Leah is an excellent young woman and an amazing student. She loves being social and kind to everyone she talks to. She’s also overcome many challenges in her life.
She is one of the kindest people I know.
Her mom added: Leah is a sophomore at Pleasant Grove High School. She loves to do and try everything as long as she is with her friends. She is a beautiful violinist and you’ll be lucky if you ever get to hear her play. Growing up with four sisters and one older brother, she’s learned how to love big, laugh often, and always look out for others. She has a natural gift for making people feel seen, valued, and included. Whether it’s being a loyal friend, offering a listening ear, or simply showing up with a smile, her kindness is quiet but powerful.
Leah doesn’t just like people; she genuinely loves them. That love shows in the way she treats others with respect, empathy, and unwavering loyalty. It’s not something she tries to do; it’s just who she is.
We’re so proud of the young woman she’s becoming; one who leads with love, lives with purpose, and reminds us all that kindness is a strength. We are so blessed to have Leah in our family.
Congratulations Leah!! We commend you for being an amazing example in our community and know that your influence is seen and noticed by others. Keep up the great work and keep making a difference!!
