DESCRIPTION:What to Expect\nAs part of the Resource Night\, there will be a free clothing giveaway\, resource booths\, health screenings\, and a raffle to win prizes. \nThe number of clothing items will be limited per person\, and people will need to visit the resource booths prior to selecting clothing items. \nResource information for housing\, food access\, employment\, health\, transportation\, disability\, mental health\, family resources\, life skills\, education\, substance misuse\, and more will be available. \nParking and Transit\nIn addition to free street parking in downtown Provo\, free parking is also available after 5:00 p.m. at the Nu Skin Building Garage (140 West 100 South) and at the surface lot located at 257 West 100 South.\nDowntown Provo Parking Map \nVolunteer\nJoin us as a volunteer! There are opportunities for service on November 17 and Fridays in October and November leading up to the event. Our expert speaker\, Dr. Bryan Weed\, is a pediatrician with Utah Valley Pediatrics. The Anxious Generation\, by Jonathan Haidt\, is a well-researched book that highlights some of the causes of the current mental health epidemic among our youth today and gives some suggestions on ways to help youth have healthier boundaries with technology while building resilience in the real world. Dr. Weed and his associates have created a committee to help establish norms in our communities to increase the protection of our children in the digital world\, while also promoting more opportunities for unstructured play and experiences in the real world. \nLimited seats\, RSVP today to save yours.
